Runfibre Joins Forces with TPLink to Bring Cutting Edge WiFi Connectivity to Rural South Gloucestershire

Fri 30th Jun 2023

Runfibre, the dedicated provider of high-speed internet and networking solutions in the most remote and rural areas of South Gloucestershire, is excited to announce its strategic partnership with TP-Link, a renowned global leader in networking equipment. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Runfibre, as it paves the way for an enhanced and seamless Wi-Fi experience for its customers.

With a focus on delivering top-notch connectivity to even the most isolated regions, Runfibre is taking a significant step forward by upgrading its network infrastructure. The introduction of TP-Link's HX220 New AX1800 Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 AP is the first step in this transformative journey.

The HX220 Mesh WiFi 6 AP is a powerful device that promises to redefine Wi-Fi connectivity in rural areas. With its dual-band Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, it delivers speeds of up to 1800 Mbps—1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. The revolutionary combination of OFDMA, HE80, and Beam-forming technologies ensures a seamless Wi-Fi network throughout customers' homes.

One of the key advantages of this new system is the Gigabit Wired Speed, supporting lightning-fast Wi-Fi 6 speeds with a Gigabit WAN/LAN port for uplink and two Gigabit LAN ports for ultimate connectivity. This means that residents in South Gloucestershire can now enjoy smoother and faster online experiences, no matter how rural their location may be.

The HX220's Boosted Seamless Coverage feature uses Client Steering and Band Steering to intelligently connect devices to the mesh AP with the strongest signal, guaranteeing connectivity regardless of physical location. By implementing a unified wireless network (SSID) throughout the entire home, Runfibre ensures a truly seamless wireless experience for its valued customers.

Furthermore, the HX220 is EasyMesh Compatible, allowing Runfibre to create a smart mesh network with seamless coverage and greater flexibility. Customers can now benefit from a more efficient and reliable Wi-Fi connection, even in challenging terrain.

Security is always a priority for Runfibre. With the HX220's Enhanced Security features like WPA3 encryption, Multi-SSID, VPN, and Parent Control, customers can enjoy a personalised and safer online experience, giving them peace of mind while browsing the internet.

Additionally, the integration of Easy Cloud Management with TP-Link's TAUC (TP-Link Aginet Unified Cloud) enables Runfibre's service providers to remotely manage multiple devices efficiently. This allows for quick troubleshooting and updates, ensuring uninterrupted services for its valued customers.

This partnership represents a significant leap forward for Runfibre and its customers, as it strengthens the commitment to delivering top-tier internet and networking solutions to rural South Gloucestershire. With TP-Link's innovative products, Runfibre is equipped to empower communities, bridge the digital gap, and revolutionise the way people experience the internet.
